OUR VISION

We are a group of Christians in Alton, who are fully committed to our own Churches, but who want to serve Jesus together in the community where we live.

We are not into hard sell religion or ‘holier than thou’ attitudes. We remember that it took time for each of us to find Jesus as a living reality, and so want to share our faith in a non-threatening and ‘open’ way.

We meet regularly to pray together and organise events where people can worship, learn, or relax together. We also get involved in things which are helpful for the Village or people in need in the wider world, and maintain a website that gives information about the three churches in the village as well as our own activities.

We believe that knowing Jesus is a profound privilege; the most satisfying way that anyone can live in this world; the only way that we can hope to deal with all the complexities and suffering that are encountered in life; and above all an experience of real joy and happiness. It’s too good to keep to ourselves!
If you share our aims we hope you will join us in planning future events.

In 2009 we planted some daffodils on the right just before you cross the bridge over the Churnet on your way to Alton Towers. In their first year they made a good show, so in 2010 we planted some more.
